This incredible OpArt knitted baby blanket will definitely get the compliments flowing at your next baby shower.
The fun and unusual spiral pattern in this baby throw is achieved by starting in the center of the blanket.
You then make increases in the same spot on every row and the increases end up making a spiraling square.
The designer behind this amazing spiral baby blanket it Melissa Dominguez.
She has written a great knitting pattern with very clear directions for how to knit fun baby blanket in two different sizes: Small and large.
Once completed, the large baby blanket should measure about 48 inches square. Conversely, the smaller baby blanket should measure about 38 inches square.
If you prefer metric measurements, the finished spiral baby blanket should be approx. 122 cm square in the larger size. In the smaller size, the baby throw should be approx. 96.5 cm square.
