Learn How To Do Mirror Knitting And Stop Purling Altogether
Mirror knitting is often also referred to as backwards knitting. With this method of knitting, you will never have to knit another purl row when knitting back and forth!
You mirror knit by not turning your work around. Instead you change your needles around. It may sounds confusing but when you watch the video below, it will become clear.
It may take a little practice but you should be able to master this technique very quickly
Watch this great video tutorial from Very Pink Knits and learn how you can start knitting backwards!

Thank you!
I love your demos, because they are so clear, concise, and rewarding!
Neat idea! I can see using both backwards knit or purl–it saves switching the empty needle to the right hand on small projects which makes for a lot of fumbling and getting ready for the next row. On larger projects like 300+ stitches knitting normally would still be better to switch needles (I don’t mind purling)–don’t know, need to try it. Thanks!!

I actually prefer the purl stitch. Is there a way I can ‘mirror’. To me purling is faster than the knit stitch. Any ideas gratefully received
