Keep Your Fruit “Safe” With A Fruit Cozy With A Tie-Off Top!
I have a habit of putting an apple or a pear into my handbag every morning before I go to work.
However, more often than not, my piece of fruit end up badly bruised by the time I go to eat it. I was therefore delighted when I came across this free pattern for knitted fruit cozies from Yarnspirations.
Finally, my apples and pears should survive my handbag and make it to my 11 o’clock snack without a single bruise!
This is a quick and easy pattern, suitable for both beginners and more seasoned knitters. It has been knitted in Bernat Handicrafter, which is a soft absorbent cotton.
The pattern for the knitted fruit cozies comes with instructions for two different cozy sizes. The smaller size is approx. 2.5 inches in diameter. In metric, that is approx. 6 cm in diameter.
The larger cozy size is approx. 3.5 inches in diameter. Converted to metric measurements, that is approx. 9 cm in diameter.
One thing is for sure, I will make myself a couple of these colorful and practical fruit cozies, one of each size.
