Spring Is The Perfect Time For Knitting Some Dogwood Flowers
These lovely knitted dogwood flowers are perfect as a scrap yarn project. The finished knitted dogwood flowers will look great as a brooch. Just attach to a safety pin and you will brighten up any garment.
They will look equally great on a hat or a scarf. Or why not make a lovely headband and attach one or more of these beautiful flowers to it?
The gorgeous flowers have been knitted using some left-over worsted weight yarn. The petals are knitted over just 19 rows, so this a fairly quick project to do.
Each of the five petals of the knitted dogwoods has been knitted individually. They will therefore need to be assembled. Full instructions for the assembly is in the video tutorial below.
Gauge is not important for this knitting project. Once finished, one knitted dogwood flower measures approx. 5 inches across. In metric, that is approx. 12.7 cm across.
These gorgeous knitted flowers have been designed by Purl Avenue. Their pattern is easy to follow, especially with the great video tutorial they have also made.
