Thank you all for the help and inspiration the collective you & your site gives to all of us.
I have severe ADHD — I am an adult now– and only learned about ADHD as an adult. In grade school-and in high school I was just that girl who couldn’t be still or shut-up. Had lots of friends but only a few patients teachers.
Knitting and crochet absolutely slay the fidgeting and distraction and it is so much fun — even if only practicing stitches and patterns. Working with the wool and alpaca — are two favorites because of their buoyant plushness, enticing colours and the feel of the yarn against my fingers.
I love Bulky and Super Bulky in the Alpaca and the Merino Wool. Roving and Bulky weights are the yarn I am having fun with right now; these weights are richly tactile and they look and feel so beautiful as if I am pulling the clouds of yarn into delicious bits of roving; Joyful fun.
Thank-you so much for the friendly sharing of knowledge.
