Get Organised With These Fun Little Vessels Knitted From Scrap Yarn
If you are anything like me, my desk and drawers can quickly become clutter with loads of different bits and pieces.
When I came across these great little baskets or bowls designed by Katie Startzman, I thought they would be ideal for someone looking to tidy up their workspace.
The knit felt bowls are ideal for using up any scarp yarn you may have laying around. They take less than an hour to make – that includes both knitting and felting.
The only thing you need to remember is that when you are choosing the yarn, you must ensure that it is 100% wool (not superwash). If not, it will not felt properly. The pattern comes with full felting instructions for felting by hand for those who are not familiar with felting. In fact, this project is ideal for anyone who want to have a go at felting for the first time.
The finished vessels, after felting, will measure approx. 1.25 inches tall by 3.75 inches wide.
You can find the pattern for these knit felt bowls as well as the felting instructions here: Knit Felt Bowls.
Unfortunately, this website and pattern has now been retired by the designer.
